"I am SORRY. If you think it is not OK, then don't change it" My Manager said to me today.
How much does it take to say sorry..... to your sub-ordinates?
Although because of his uncertain instruction, I have to settle a lot of left-over shits, but i personally think that he should NOT say sorry to me and my direct superior, in the eyes of so many people. He is used to be a Mr.Nice Guy for me, though my coll told me that in the old days, he used to have daily idioms to his subordinates like Ridiculous! Re-do It! Don't just hanging on the branch! ....and etc. What do you expect me to respond when you say tis to me? Nevertheless, I understand that situation cos my direct superior (A women in her forties that everybody call her 2nd Boss in our dept) has made many statement to force him "step down" and pull back his words.
尴尬. A subordinate 不知所措.
情何以堪. A manager says sorry 太沉重.
我觉得不会也。这样,会让我更欣赏他。勇于认错的上属,实在难得。
ReplyDelete但这不是第一次了耶.. 可能我比较爱面子吧, 总觉得老板应该抱有尊严...=_=
ReplyDeletenope,I agree with Janice, if a manager (boss) has made a wrong decision/judgement/solution, it is better for him (personally and professionally) to admit it up front. This is the quality of a manager, a man/woman who is able to manage people.
ReplyDeleteYa, personally I also agreed with that. and I appreciate and respect him for that. But the things is my second boss is too aggressive in the way that I think my Big Boss should stand still and defend himself, even tough he may be not so right, he has his point actually, as subordinate we shd obey it... 我其实是想他挫挫事头婆的锐气...但他让我失望了.
